Child Safety Standards

Flame Dating App: Chat & Date · flamedating.net · operated by Flame Software, Gangnam-gu, Seoul · 한국어

Effective 25 September 2026

Flame is a dating app for adults. Nobody under 18 may use it, and we have zero tolerance for any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child. This page sets out the standards we hold ourselves and our users to, how we enforce them, and how to reach us. It is published here so that anyone, anywhere, can read it.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In Korea that is 112 for police. In the United States that is 911, and you can also report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at report.cybertip.org. Then report the account to us so we can act on it.

1. Who may use Flame

You must be 18 or over to create an account. Flame asks for a date of birth at signup and rejects any date that makes the person under 18. There is no way to change a date of birth to an under-18 value afterwards. Our Terms of Service repeat this requirement, and an account found to belong to a minor is removed as soon as we become aware of it.

Flame does not offer a version for children or teenagers, does not market to them, and is listed in the app stores with an adult age rating.

2. What is forbidden

The following are prohibited on Flame without exception. They lead to immediate and permanent removal from the service, and where the law requires or allows it, to a report to the authorities.

This applies everywhere on Flame: profiles, photos, stories, chat messages, and any link or file shared through the app.

3. How we prevent it

Age gateA date of birth is required at signup. Under-18 dates are rejected and cannot be set later.
Photo verificationUsers can verify that the person in their photos is the person holding the phone. Verified profiles carry a blue check, so other users can see who has been checked.
Real photos onlyProfile photos must show a face. That check runs on the device, and it stops blank, cartoon and stock images being used to hide who someone is.
Report and block everywhereEvery profile and every chat has Report and Block. Blocking is immediate and mutual.
Human reviewReports are read by a person. Reports that mention a minor go to the top of the queue.
Bans that holdWhen we remove an account for a child safety reason, we keep a minimal record so the same person cannot simply sign up again.

4. How to report

In the app. Open the profile or the chat, tap the menu, choose Report, and pick the reason. If your concern involves a minor, say so in the reason or the notes — it changes how quickly we see it. You can block the person at the same time.

By email. Write to bananatalkmain@gmail.com with "Child safety" in the subject line. Give us the name on the profile and roughly when you saw it. You do not need to attach anything, and you should never forward sexual images of a minor to anyone, including us — describe what you saw and we will find it.

You do not need a Flame account to report. Parents, guardians, teachers and anyone else who is worried about someone can email us directly.

5. What we do with a report

6. Working with law enforcement

We cooperate with law enforcement and child protection agencies investigating child sexual abuse or exploitation. Requests for information should be sent to bananatalkmain@gmail.com from an official address, and we will respond to lawful requests promptly. In an emergency involving a risk to a child's life or safety we will act on a request first and complete the paperwork afterwards.

7. The laws we follow

Flame Software is a Korean company. We comply with the Republic of Korea's Act on the Protection of Children and Youth against Sex Offenses, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and the Telecommunications Business Act, including the duties they place on online service providers to remove and report child sexual exploitation material. Where Flame is available in other countries we also comply with the child safety laws that apply there, including the reporting obligations of 18 U.S.C. §2258A in the United States and the obligations of the EU Digital Services Act and the UK Online Safety Act where they apply to us.

We also comply with the child safety requirements of the stores that distribute Flame, including Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and Apple's App Store Review Guidelines.
